Easter Lady

We met in late December
And Christ it was so cold,
She was wearing fur and diamonds
And I was feeling bold,
And we spent the night together
Makin’ memories in the dark,
While a storm raged all around us,
Her body was my ark.

And we took the risk of loving
And we vowed we’d never die,
A Cancer and an Aries,
The stars they never lie,
And I played her all my music
And she danced her feelings free,
While the storm raged all around us,
And held our mystery.

Chorus:
Easter Lady, you would not see,
So Easter Lady, you died in me,
But Easter Lady,
I want you to be… born again,
I want you to be… born again
I need you to be… born again, in me.

And we loved for many reasons
And we loved for many nights,
We were baptised by our passion
As we tried to reach the light,
And we talked of having children
To give future to our love,
While the storm raged all around us
Our stars were crossed above.

Then suddenly the winter went,
And spring came quick behind
She was wearing death and diamonds
And I was going blind
And the sky was growing purple
And the leaves were being born
While our love raged all arund us
We’d ridden out the storm.

Repeat Chorus
